Round Robin Golfers was formed on the 31st of May 2015, when Kunle Dada, after a round of golf game in Ikeja golf club, created a WhatsApp Group and named it Round Robin Golfers. The objective of the WhatsApp group, at that time, was simply to enable friends arrange golf games. 

 

When creating the WhatsApp group, Kunle Dada misspelled the name as “Round Robbing Golfers”. In an attempt to correct the error in the name and not knowing that he could do that by simply editing the name in the WhatsApp settings, he created a new WhatsApp group, with the correct spelling of “Round  Robin Golfers” and exited the earlier WhatsApp group on June 27, 2015. 

 

The following 14 people were added  to the group to become the pioneer members of Round Robin Golfers.

Prior  to the formation of Round Robin Golfers Group, some of the people who later became pioneer members of Round Robin Golfers, have been playing golf together and sometimes travel to other cities, notably, Abeokuta and Uyo, to play golf 

 

The group has since grown to be a formidable group of golfers, whose activities have gone beyond simply arranging golf games.  The group now has 29 very enthusiastic golfers as members and have embarked on many activities including tours, intra group match plays, inter group match plays, Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) projects and many more
